My Story

Assalamu Alaikum. I am Muhsin Ahmad Mahdi — a Hafiz, Qari, and Mawlana from Bangladesh, currently living and learning in Cairo, Egypt. With over 10 years of experience in Islamic education, I have dedicated my life to the Quran and the beautiful tradition of Qira'at.

I completed my Islamic education at a madrasa where I memorised the entire Quran and earned my qualifications as a Qari and Mawlana. My journey has taken me across the world — from Bangladesh to Turkey, Algeria, Iran and now Cairo — the heartland of Quranic scholarship.

Passionate about Qur'an, Qira'at, and the beauty of Islamic voice tradition. Dedicated to spreading authentic knowledge of Tilawah, Adhan, and soulful recitation through modern and easy learning methods. Currently exploring and learning from the rich Qur'anic culture of Egypt to inspire and benefit people around the world.

I started my social media journey around 2020-2021 and have since grown a community of over 122,000 followers across Facebook, TikTok and YouTube — all united by a love for the Quran. Moktob Academy is my next step — bringing structured, authentic Islamic education to children and adults worldwide through a modern online platform.

The path to Moktob Academy

From Bangladesh to the world — a journey built on the love of the Quran

Early years

Madrasa education in Bangladesh

Began the journey of Hifz and Islamic scholarship at a traditional madrasa in Bangladesh. Memorised the complete Quran and qualified as a Qari and Mawlana.

International

Representing Bangladesh worldwide

Competed in prestigious international Qira'at and Hifz competitions across Turkey, Algeria, Iran and Bangladesh — bringing home gold at the Turkey International Qira'at Competition.

2020 — 2021

Started sharing knowledge online

Launched social media channels to share Quranic knowledge and recitation. Quickly grew to over 122,000 followers across Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.

Now — Cairo, Egypt

Learning from the heartland of Qira'at

Currently living in Cairo — the world capital of Quranic recitation — continuing to deepen knowledge of Maqamat, Qira'at and the rich Egyptian tradition of Tilawah.
